Bendix Spring Brake
A parking brake that will not hold, or air hissing from an actuator on a disc-brake axle, is the signal to install the Bendix Spring Brake. This T20/24 unit pairs a Type 20 service chamber with a Type 24 parking chamber in a double-diaphragm design, so one actuator handles both normal stops and parking. The Bendix K057522 uses a single clamp band set at a 90-degree clamp angle on the service side. All of its vent holes must stay open after installation, a detail worth checking before the truck goes back into service.
