MGM Brakes Air Brake Chamber
Wedge brakes need their own style of actuator, and the MGM Brakes Air Brake Chamber is a Type 12 service chamber (model CW12) built for that job. Inside a formed-steel, epoxy-coated housing, a heavy-duty nylon-reinforced diaphragm converts air pressure into a 1.75-inch stroke that drives the wedge. The chamber installs on a 1 3/4-12 UN-2A mounting thread and offers both top and side 3/8-18 NPTF air ports. As an aftermarket unit, the MGM Brakes 1012001 may need its port and clamp-band angles rotated to match the original installation.
