This Privacy Policy discusses the “personal information” that FinditParts, Inc. (referred to further as “FinditParts,” “we,” “our” and “us”) obtains from you on www.finditparts.com, on our mobile app, through our customer success center, or in connection to our loyalty program. Our Privacy Policy spells our FinditParts’ commitment to respecting the privacy of our customers and visitors to our site.

FinditParts is the sole owner and operator of the website located at www.finditparts.com. It also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your personally identifiable information and how you can access and update this information.

Personally Identifiable Information Collection and Use

We collect personally identifiable information from our users at several different points on our website.

When we use the term “personal information” we are referring to information that is connected to your name or can be reasonably connected to your name. This may include things like your e-mail address, mailing address, and telephone number. Any information that is not connected to your name is not considered personal information. For example, we collect the email addresses of those who wish to receive our newsletters, contact information (such as name, mailing address, phone number and email address) when users create accounts, contact information when users ask questions or provide comments through the site (such as through the Live Chat feature or the Contact Us page) and shipping and payment information (e.g., credit card number, shipping and billing address) when users purchase goods through this site.

We may also disclose your personally identifiable information; as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We will only share your information with third parties as described in this privacy policy.

We use third parties such as a shipping company to fulfill orders, a credit card processing company to bill you for goods, an email service provider to send out emails on our behalf and a “Live Chat” provider to assist you if you have questions while using our site or regarding your order. When you sign up for our newsletters or purchase parts, we will share your name, email address, shipping address, billing information and address as necessary for the third party to provide that service. These companies are authorized to use your personally identifiable information only as necessary to provide these services to us.

Like other sites, we may also passively collect information using various technologies (which cannot presently be used to specifically identify you) such as your site preferences, age, gender, language, time zone (some of the information we ask for may be optional). We may use or disclose aggregated information for any purpose. We share aggregated demographic information about our user base with our partners and advertisers. This information does not identify individual users. We do not link aggregate user data with personally identifiable information.

Consent

How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for delivery, return a purchase, or interact with a customer service agent, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

How do I withdraw my consent?

We provide you the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having your personally identifiable information used for certain purposes, when we ask for this information.

If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter and promotional communications, you may opt-out of receiving them by following the instructions included in each communication or by emailing us at support@finditparts.com.

You will be notified when your personal information is collected by any third party that is not our agent/service provider, so you can make an informed choice as to whether or not to share your information with that party.

If you supply us with your postal address online you may receive periodic mailings from us with information on new products and services or upcoming events. If you do not wish to receive such mailings, please let us know by emailing us at support@finditparts.com.

Please provide us with your exact name and address. We will be sure your name is removed from the list we share with other organizations. With respect to Ad Servers: We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.

California Privacy Notices and Rights

If you are a California resident, you may have certain privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA Rights”). Under the CCPA and its regulations, California residents have:

  1. the right to request access to the personal information collected in the previous 12 months;
  2. the right to request deletion of personal information; and
  3. the right to opt out of the “sale”, as defined under the CCPA, of personal information.

These rights are subject to certain exemptions and exceptions as well as certain steps that must be taken to verify your identity. If you elect to exercise any of your rights under CCPA, FinditParts will not deny services, provide a different price or rate for our services, or provide a different level of service to you because you exercised such rights. When exercising your Right to Know and Delete under the CCPA, you have the right to request the following from us:

We set a persistent cookie to enable the use of our shopping cart feature. You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser’s “help” file. If you reject cookies, you may still use our site, but your ability to use some areas of our site will be limited. We link the information we store in cookies to your name and password so you don’t have to enter them more than once. The use of cookies by our partners and tracking utility service providers is not covered by our privacy statement. We do not have access or control over these cookies. Our partners and tracking utility service providers use session ID cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site.

Email Marketing and SMS Marketing

We collect your email address and phone number for marketing purposes. When you provide us with your email address or phone number, you consent to receiving marketing communications from us. These communications may include promotional emails and SMS messages.

For both email and SMS marketing, we use these channels to provide updates, promotions, and reminders about your orders. We handle your contact information with care and use it only for the purposes of sending you marketing messages as per your consent. We ensure that text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, as well as email opt-in data, are not shared with any third parties.

Additionally, the website uses cookies to help keep track of items you put into your shopping cart, including when you have abandoned your cart. This information is used to determine when to send cart reminder messages via email and SMS.
