Euclid Air Brake Camshaft
The Euclid Air Brake Camshaft rotates within the brake assembly to spread shoes against a 16.5-inch drum on left-hand trailer axle applications. Each time air pressure activates the chamber, rotational force is transmitted through the cam lobes to the brake shoes. Worn splines or uneven cam surfaces can disrupt that motion, leading to uneven brake application. Replacing the camshaft restores smooth shoe expansion and balanced braking force across the drum surface. When correcting inconsistent trailer braking on left-hand positions, the Euclid E11866 reestablishes controlled cam rotation inside the assembly.
