- Fail mode is field configurable from “normally down” to “normally up”
Hendrickson Automatic Lift Axle Control Kit
The Hendrickson Automatic Lift Axle Control Kit handles liftable and steerable trailer axles automatically to optimize tire mileage and load spacing. Manual errors often lead to tire scrubbing and axle overloading when backing up, but this smart setup reacts instantly to vehicle movement. Moving the trailer in reverse for a short distance prompts the Hendrickson EKAD0001 to pick up the lift axle to ease maneuvering. As soon as the truck heads forward again, the system airs up the suspension bags to spread the payload weight evenly.
