Product Description

ESP ECU

Features & Benefits

  • Yaw Control actively counters trailer “push” to prevent jackknifing
  • Roll Stability Program reduces speed and applies brakes to prevent rollovers
  • Integrated ATC and ABS enhance traction and braking on low-traction surfaces
  • Real-time data processing corrects vehicle path faster than a human driver
  • Factory calibration ensures seamless integration with Bendix braking systems

Bendix EC-80 Electronic Stability Program (ESP) Control Unit

The Bendix EC-80 Electronic Stability Program (ESP) Control Unit provides a full stability system for heavy- and medium-duty vehicles, integrating Antilock Braking System (ABS), Automatic Traction Control (ATC), and the full Electronic Stability Program (ESP). It uses various sensor inputs (including wheel speed, yaw rate, and steering angle) to compare the vehicle's actual movement against the driver's intent. When potential loss-of-control is detected—such as a skid or rollover risk—the ECU intervenes by applying the brakes to individual wheels and/or reducing engine throttle. This real-time, corrective action significantly reduces the risk of jackknife and rollover accidents during evasive maneuvers or on slick roads. While requiring a cab-mounted, protected location, this Bendix K125324SC000 control unit is factory-calibrated for seamless integration, ensuring maximum effectiveness and supporting fleet safety compliance.
