BENDIX K041770 Part Description
Manufacturer
Product Description
Slack Adjuster (Automatic)
Features & Benefits
- Corrects lining wear automatically after every single application
- Boot material withstands road spray and constant flexing
- Keeps the internal clutch free of grit buildup
- Clutch mechanism corrects wear in small increments continuously
Bendix Automatic Slack Adjuster
A sealed boot over the clutch mechanism on the Bendix Automatic Slack Adjuster keeps grime and moisture off the internal adjustment components, useful on wheel ends exposed to constant spray. Without that seal, contamination in the clutch mechanism can cause it to stick or skip an adjustment, letting stroke drift the automatic feature should prevent. Keeping the clutch mechanism sealed against contamination protects the automatic adjustment feature from the environment it has to work in. The Bendix K041770 pairs that sealed design with a spline and arm configuration sized for its specific axle position.
