Bendix Air Brake Spring Brake
A parking brake that will not hold, or a spring brake leaking air at the housing, are reasons to replace the unit, and the Bendix Air Brake Spring Brake serves air disc brake axles. On disc brakes, the spring brake mounts to the caliper and provides both service and parking braking from one assembly. Replacing it as a complete unit is the only safe repair, since its internal spring must never be opened. Testing parking brake hold on a grade after the Bendix 802512 is installed confirms the spring is applying fully.
