BENDIX OR284358X Part Description
Manufacturer
Features & Benefits
- D-2 governor design controls compressor loading and unloading cycles
- Regulates reservoir-pressure response without replacing the compressor assembly
- Remanufactured service option addresses the pressure-control component directly
- Keeps compressor operation tied to the air system’s pressure demand
Bendix Air Brake Compressor Governor
Keeping reservoir pressure cycling within the intended range is where the Bendix Air Brake Compressor Governor earns its place in the charging system. As pressure rises and falls, the D-2 style governor sends the load and unload signal that determines when the compressor should build air and when it should stop. Supplied as a remanufactured service option, the Bendix OR284358X lets fleets address that pressure-control function without replacing a healthy compressor. This is especially useful when air production remains sound but cut-in or cut-out behavior points to the governor instead.
