Bendix Relay Valve
Brakes that apply or release with a noticeable lag at the rear axle often point to a worn relay valve rather than the foot valve, calling for the Bendix Relay Valve. A relay valve delivers air locally from a nearby reservoir on a foot valve signal, rather than routing air through long lines from the cab, and a worn valve reintroduces that lag. Replacing a slow relay valve restores quick, even application instead of a delayed response. The Bendix 800481's reservoir and brake line ports match the original valve, leaving no plumbing to reroute.
