Bendix Air Brake Foot Valve
The Bendix Air Brake Foot Valve gives the driver graduated control over service braking by turning pedal movement into proportional air pressure. As pedal travel increases, the dual-circuit valve meters pressure progressively instead of behaving like a simple on-off control, so braking input can build smoothly. Because the valve starts the pneumatic brake request at the cab, its role is fundamentally different from downstream relay or modulator hardware. Within that arrangement, the Bendix 800647 keeps the primary and secondary service circuits separate while responding to the same pedal command.
