The Bendix Heavy-Duty Air Brake Chamber converts air pressure into mechanical force during braking events. When the brake pedal is applied, compressed air enters the chamber and moves internal components to activate the brakes. This action occurs instantly and repeats with each braking cycle. The chamber responds automatically to changes in air pressure and remains inactive when brakes are released. It functions as part of the service brake system and supports a consistent braking response. Identified as a D-type configuration, the Bendix K193947 contributes to controlled brake actuation during normal vehicle operation.
