When a serviceable lube-filter housing only needs fresh media, the Baldwin Engine Oil Filter Element avoids replacing the complete canister on compatible JCB AJ48D and Kohler applications. Maintenance teams change only the filtration element during routine lubrication service, leaving the surrounding housing in place. The Baldwin P40170 fits the serviceable filter assembly used on those applications, making engine and equipment fitment the primary confirmation point. This element-only approach keeps the reusable housing in service while replacing the media that captures contamination.
