Bendix Air Brake Spring Brake
The Bendix Air Brake Spring Brake is a spring brake for air disc brake axles, mounting to the caliper and providing both service and parking braking. Disc brake spring brakes differ in stroke and mounting from S-cam units, so the Bendix K065549 must replace a disc unit, not an S-cam one. A parking brake that will not hold, or air leaking at the housing, are the usual reasons to replace it. Testing parking hold on a grade after installation confirms the spring applies fully.
