Brake chambers can release faster when exhaust air leaves near the chambers instead of traveling back through an upstream control valve, and the Bendix Air Brake Quick Release Valve creates that local vent point. During brake release, chamber air is routed out through the nearby valve so pressure can drop promptly. The Bendix 289525N performs that exhaust function within a compatible pneumatic circuit. Because location affects how much air line the exhaust must travel through, port arrangement and placement in the circuit are practical checks when selecting the replacement.
