Bendix Air Brake Camshaft
The Bendix Air Brake Camshaft is the S-cam shaft that transfers slack adjuster rotation to the brake shoes on an S-cam brake. Because the Bendix K082629 carries the full braking load, cracks or wear at the cam head must be caught before they cause a failure. Inspecting the cam head and rollers during every reline shows whether the shaft can stay in service. Fitting new bushings and seals with a replacement shaft gives it a tight, well-lubricated pivot.
