Bendix Brake Chamber
The Bendix Brake Chamber converts air pressure into the push-rod travel that applies S-cam brakes, matching the spider mount already on the axle. Air enters the chamber and pushes a diaphragm against the push rod, and a chamber sized wrong for the application either under-strokes the slack adjuster or bottoms out before full brake application. Installing the correctly sized chamber keeps push-rod stroke within the range the axle's brake system was designed around. With the Bendix K058753 bolted to the original spider pattern, the push rod lines up with the slack adjuster and nothing needs adjusting.
