Bendix Disc Spring Brake
The Bendix Disc Spring Brake includes a manual release bolt that lets a technician cage the spring mechanically when air pressure isn't available, useful for towing a disabled disc-brake vehicle. The Bendix K042457 pairs that manual release with the double-diaphragm chamber design disc brake calipers use. Caging the spring through that bolt compresses it against internal threads, pulling the brake off the caliper without needing to charge the air system first. Manual caging lets a disabled disc-brake vehicle move without first restoring system air pressure.
