Hendrickson OEM Shock Strap

The Hendrickson OEM Shock Strap controls how far the axle is allowed to travel when the suspension extends. During situations such as frame lift maintenance, uneven terrain, or axle droop events, the strap becomes tensioned and takes load before other suspension components are stressed. This action limits downward movement and helps maintain suspension geometry when the vehicle is partially unloaded. The strap functions through tension rather than compression and engages only when extension reaches its designed limit. It does not influence normal suspension travel under load. Used at the axle level, the Hendrickson C-23086-1 provides a controlled stopping point for suspension extension during extreme articulation.
