Within an automatic transmission, the Allison Turbine Speed Sensor measures rotation at the input side of the geartrain so the control system can compare turbine speed with other transmission speeds. Built for that pickup position, the sensor reads the rotating target used by the transmission electronics to track turbine motion. The Allison 29567149 provides the controller with turbine-speed data that can be compared with other transmission speed signals. Its input-side sensing position makes it the pickup for turbine rotation rather than output-shaft speed, fluid pressure, or temperature.
