Bendix Air Brake Spring Brake
Lock a parked truck or trailer in place with spring force by fitting the Bendix Air Brake Spring Brake to an S-cam axle. Air pressure holds the parking spring back while driving, and releasing that air lets the spring apply the brake, so the parking brake works even if air is lost. As the 120 version, the Bendix NT3030STD-120 differs from other NT3030STD units, so the two should not be swapped. Never disassemble a spring brake, since the internal spring stores enough force to cause serious injury.
