Compressed-air systems can release a sharp burst during purge events, and the Bendix Air Brake Drier Purge Valve Silencer Kit helps manage that exhaust sound at the dryer. Designed for use with AD-9 air dryers, the kit includes components intended for installation at the purge area, where purge air exits as moisture and contaminants are expelled from the air-processing system. It adds noise-control functionality without changing the dryer’s primary air-treatment role. The Bendix 5004224N is intended for the air dryer exhaust point rather than tanks, chambers, or wheel-end brake hardware.
