Bendix Air Brake Automatic Slack Adjuster
As brake linings wear, the Bendix Air Brake Automatic Slack Adjuster keeps foundation-brake stroke within the linkage without requiring repeated manual readjustment. A six-inch arm and Easy-On yoke place that automatic function within the geometry expected by the brake hardware, while a link-style layout carries the movement through the adjuster. Proper operation therefore depends on more than the adjuster mechanism alone; arm length, spline, clevis arrangement, and lubrication access all need to agree with the installation. The Bendix K041877 also uses a 45-degree elbow lube fitting for service access.
