Meritor Air Brake Chamber
Brake actuation starts where air pressure becomes mechanical movement, and the Meritor Air Brake Chamber handles that conversion at the wheel-end brake system. It receives air from the control circuit, moves the internal diaphragm, and sends pushrod force toward the connected brake linkage. That action gives the foundation brake hardware the movement needed for application. The chamber’s job stays focused on force delivery before the brake shoes or pads create friction. The Meritor U713276D30 restores the actuator position in the air brake layout.
