Bendix Air Brake Reservoir Safety Valve
Over-pressure protection for the air reservoirs is the use case for the Bendix Air Brake Reservoir Safety Valve. If the governor sticks and the compressor never unloads, the safety valve opens before reservoir pressure climbs past a safe level. A valve that vents at normal working pressure has weakened and should be replaced. When a safety valve pops, the governor and compressor unloader deserve the first look, while the Bendix 800154 takes over the protection.
