Every time the brakes release at the front axle, the Bendix Quick Release Valve is what dumps chamber air locally instead of sending it all the way back through a long line to the treadle valve. That local exhaust point shortens the distance air travels to escape, so chambers release faster than through the supply line alone. Faster chamber release at the front axle keeps both wheels releasing together instead of one lagging behind the other. The Bendix 229813N uses the same port spacing between the chambers and supply line as the original, bolting in without redrilling or new fittings.
