Bendix Stud
Brake and air-system component mounting is the use case for the Bendix Stud, a single Bendix-supplied stud for that hardware. Studs carry clamping load, so one that is stretched, corroded, or has damaged threads should be replaced rather than reused. Fitting the Bendix 804008 with a new nut, torqued to the component maker's value, restores secure mounting. Checking the matching studs on the same component at the same time catches others that are near the end of their service.
