ABSORBER-
Cab movement does not stop the instant the chassis hits a bump, which is why the Peterbilt Cab Shock Absorber is there to control oscillation between the cab and its mounting system. Hydraulic damping inside the shock resists both compression and rebound so the cab can settle after road input instead of continuing to bounce. Because it works at the cab isolation point rather than the axle, it helps moderate how motion reaches the driver compartment. Installed in the cab suspension, the Peterbilt R71-6007 manages vertical cab movement through controlled damping.
