Apsco Tailgate Latch Cylinder
A tailgate latch that will not extend or retract through its full travel can point to the Apsco Tailgate Latch Cylinder rather than the latch hardware around it. The double-acting cylinder uses hydraulic pressure in both directions, so powered movement is available for extending and retracting the latch mechanism. Bore and stroke specifications then determine the force area and travel available from the Apsco C-6023-PK. What matters operationally is a double-acting actuator whose travel matches the latch movement from fully released to fully secured.
