Prestolite Continuous Duty Solenoid

Heavy current reaches connected equipment through the Prestolite Continuous Duty Solenoid, which switches a high-current circuit from a small control signal. Its continuous-duty contacts stay engaged throughout equipment operation, well beyond brief starting loads. Once a worn solenoid fails to close, the load it feeds stays off, even though the control switch is working. The Prestolite SBJ4207 is a 12 volt unit with a 200 amp rating for the circuit it serves.
