Euclid Spindle Nut
Correct wheel bearing preload with the Euclid Spindle Nut, replacing one whose threads have deformed from repeated over-torquing during past service work. This nut sets the exact clamping force holding wheel bearings in proper adjustment, a setting that affects bearing life more than almost any other single factor in the hub assembly. The Euclid E-540 matches the spindle thread pitch and diameter this axle application uses, so the correct torque setting translates accurately during installation. A nut with damaged threads can't hold a consistent torque value, leading to bearing preload that drifts out of range over time.
