Left-side steering linkage depends on the Meritor Left Hand Tie Rod Arm, the arm that gives the tie rod a solid connection point at the steer axle. Its cast form and side-specific layout matter because the tie rod has to move steering force across the axle without the arm shifting, flexing, or sitting out of position. Damage at the mounting face or tie rod connection can create looseness that does not disappear with linkage-end replacement alone. The Meritor 3133T8314 returns the left-hand steering connection to a proper arm surface built for tie rod movement.
