Bendix Air Brake Reservoir Safety Valve
Protect the air reservoir from over-pressurization with the Bendix Air Brake Reservoir Safety Valve, replacing one that's stuck closed or corroded at the seat. No new fitting is needed, since the Bendix K039542 threads into the same reservoir port the original valve used. A spring holds the valve shut under normal pressure and only lifts once pressure exceeds the relief point, then reseats automatically once pressure drops back to normal. A functioning relief valve gives the reservoir a mechanical backup if governor control fails.
