Bendix Air Brake Quick Release Valve
Chamber pressure near the axle needs somewhere fast to escape, which is the role the Bendix Air Brake Quick Release Valve fills in a service-brake circuit. The valve’s job is to exhaust chamber pressure near the axle so air does not have to travel back through a long control line. The main pneumatic interface uses 1/4-18 NPT connections, giving the Bendix 289714N a thread-size check for the existing brake plumbing. Matching that interface keeps the replacement tied to the existing brake plumbing while preserving the quick-release function.
