Driveline, Shaft And Slip Assembly
The Meritor Drive Shaft Splined Slip Shaft handles the sliding section of a driveline where length changes occur during suspension travel and drivetrain movement. It combines the shaft and slip function in one assembly, allowing torque to move through the driveline while the connection adjusts along the splined area. In real service, that slip movement matters because the shaft cannot stay fixed as the axle and chassis move through load changes, road angles, and operating movement. The splined section gives the driveline room to work without interrupting rotation. The Meritor 17XTM096B188 restores the shaft-and-slip connection used in the driveline assembly.
