SKF Wheel Seal
On a trailer axle running through wash-downs and road spray regularly, the SKF Wheel Seal keeps that water from working past the spindle and contaminating the hub oil inside. The SKF 35058 is sized to the 3.5-inch shaft used on this axle, so the seal's contact point lines up with the spindle wear surface. It uses an HNBR lip compound, a rubber formulation chosen for resistance to heat and the additives in modern hub lubricants. Running the correctly sized HNBR seal keeps wash-down water out of the hub instead of mixing with the lubricant.
