Erratic engine response or a throttle fault code from a worn electronic pedal is the point where the Williams Controls Accelerator Pedal restores clean driver input. As an electronic accelerator pedal, it converts foot position into a signal for the engine control module. Williams Controls designed the first electronic throttle pedal for Detroit Diesel's Series 60 in the late 1980s and supplies the Williams Controls 402661 as part of its electronic pedal range. The electronic output communicates pedal position to the engine control module without a mechanical throttle cable.
