Bendix Drum Brake Actuator
Converting air pressure into pushrod movement is the key job of the Bendix Drum Brake Actuator in a drum brake assembly. That pushrod movement turns the slack adjuster and camshaft, so a worn or bent actuator shortens stroke and weakens braking on that wheel. Matching the new actuator to the original's mounting and stroke before installation keeps the brake geometry correct. Setting pushrod length and checking stroke keep the Bendix 280937N applying the brake evenly across the axle.
