Bendix Air Brake Relay Valve
The Bendix Air Brake Relay Valve speeds brake application on axles far from the foot valve by supplying air from a nearby reservoir. The foot valve sends only a small control signal, and the Bendix 800136 answers it by delivering full reservoir air to the chambers it serves. That keeps rear brakes from lagging behind the front on long wheelbase trucks and tractors. Listening for a sharp exhaust when the pedal is released is a quick way to confirm the valve is working.
