Bendix Air Brake Relay Valve
A relay-valve replacement can be wrong for the circuit if the delivery count does not match, so the Bendix Air Brake Relay Valve uses one supply and eight delivery ports. Six horizontal and two vertical deliveries provide flexibility for grouped chamber connections around the valve. The Bendix 803118 uses that 1 SUP / 8 DEL arrangement to relay control pressure to several brake lines from one component. When replacing the valve, port count and orientation provide far better guidance than relying on the external casting shape alone.
