Filtering automatic-transmission fluid is the job of the Fleetguard Transmission Filter, placing it in Allison transmission service rather than general-purpose hydraulic filtration. The service kit contains two filter elements and a gasket package, making package composition central to the maintenance decision. Its configuration does not use a pressure valve, which separates this kit from valve-equipped hydraulic filters with otherwise similar terminology.
