Baldwin Engine Oil Filter
The Baldwin Engine Oil Filter features a 30 PSID internal bypass valve designed specifically for the unique pressure requirements of Volkswagen and Chrysler engine platforms. This compact spin-on Baldwin B178 unit utilizes a high-efficiency media that balances fine particulate capture with the high flow rates needed for high-RPM overhead cam engines. The anti-drainback valve prevents oil from siphoning out of the filter when the engine is off, ensuring that the top-end components receive lubrication immediately upon restart. Baldwin manufactures this filter with a reinforced center tube to prevent the pleats from collapsing under the stress of rapid pressure spikes.
