The Cummins Engine Valve Cover closes the top of the engine over the valve train area. It covers rocker arms, valve components, and the upper engine section while helping contain oil splash during operation. The cover also provides a finished sealing surface where the gasket can close the upper engine opening. This component belongs above the cylinder head, away from intake piping, fuel injectors, or exhaust hardware. The Cummins 2883217 completes the upper engine closure around the valve area.
