Allison Pushbutton Shift Selector
The Allison Pushbutton Shift Selector places transmission range selection in an electronic dash-mounted PBSS control head instead of a mechanical lever. Built around the pushbutton interface, it sends driver range commands into the transmission control system. The Allison 29551556 combines the buttons, faceplate, and selector electronics in one assembly at the driver's command point. This lets the shift interface be replaced as a complete control head while the transmission and internal shift hardware remain separate.
