Bendix Purge Reservoir
A dedicated volume of dry air for desiccant regeneration is the defining feature of the Bendix Purge Reservoir. When the compressor unloads, the stored air flows back through the dryer cartridge and carries captured moisture out through the purge valve. The Bendix 5016604 provides that regeneration supply, so the dryer recovers before the next charging cycle. Without adequate purge air, the desiccant stays wet and lets water slip through to the service tanks.
