The Timken Multi-Purpose Taper Cone Bearing handles radial and thrust loads through its tapered roller bearing design. It works with a matching cup to carry force across rotating equipment, allowing motion while distributing load through the bearing surfaces. Taper cone bearings are common in wheel ends, driveline points, gearboxes, and other high-load assemblies where rotation and side force meet. Its cone section includes the rollers and cage that ride within the bearing set. The Timken 6466 provides the cone half of a tapered bearing arrangement for multi-purpose service.
