Dayco Idler Pulley
The Dayco Idler Pulley quietly keeps the entire belt system in line as the engine runs, even though it doesn’t power any component directly. As the serpentine belt moves across multiple pulleys, it depends on proper routing to maintain consistent contact with each driven accessory. This pulley provides that guidance point, allowing the belt to change direction without losing alignment. Inside, its bearing supports continuous rotation while the belt glides across its surface at engine speed. That smooth rotation helps prevent belt wandering or uneven wear along the ribs. Positioned within this system, the Dayco 89006 helps the belt track correctly across the full drive path.
