Meritor Suspension Shock Absorber
Road vibration can quickly unsettle a heavy suspension, and the Meritor Suspension Shock Absorber controls that motion by damping compression and rebound travel. Hydraulic fluid moves through internal valving as the shock cycles, slowing suspension movement so the axle does not continue bouncing after an impact. Instead of allowing repeated oscillation, the shock turns that movement into controlled resistance within the assembly. With a 16.88 in. extended length and a 5.24 in. stroke, this standard Meritor unit is sized for specific heavy-duty suspension applications.
