Meritor Universal Joint Assembly
Between driveshaft sections, the Meritor Universal Joint Assembly lets the driveline carry torque while the shaft angle changes under normal vehicle movement. Its full-round, greaseable design is used in 1710/17N driveline work where joint wear can lead to clunks, vibration, or rough rotation. The joint takes a lot of motion in a small space, so bearing wear or dry movement can quickly become noticeable through the driveline. The Meritor CP280X gives the shaft connection a complete U-joint assembly for smoother power transfer through changing angles.
