Gunite Brake Drum
The Gunite Brake Drum converts braking force into friction at the wheel end. When the brakes are applied, shoes press outward against the drum’s inner surface, slowing wheel rotation. This interaction occurs every time the driver engages the brakes. The drum rotates with the wheel and absorbs heat generated during braking events. Its outboard mounting position places it outside the hub assembly. Bolt holes secure the drum to the wheel hub. The Gunite 3710X provides the braking surface used during repeated stop-and-go driving.
